How to Use the Audio Video Summarizer

The Audio Video Summarizer (AV-Sum) tool allows you to generate transcripts and concise summaries from both video and audio content. It’s ideal for reviewing lectures, meetings, interviews, podcasts, and other spoken-word media.

1. Getting Started

Click Create New Project and select AV-Sum from the project options.

2. Upload or Paste Link

You can input content in one of the following ways:

  • Upload a video or audio file from your device.
      Recommended for more accurate results.
  • Paste a YouTube link.
     The tool will check if captions (subtitles) are available for the provided video URL and proceed with summarization only if they are.

3. Set Preferences

  • Select the source language (language spoken in the video or audio).
  • Choose a target language if you want the summary in a different language.
  • Tick the checkbox to agree to the terms and conditions.

4. Generate Summary

  • Click Generate Transcript & Summary.
    The tool will transcribe the spoken content and create a brief summary.

5. Save the Summary

Once complete, copy the generated text and save it wherever you prefer.

Best Practices for Audio & Video Summarization

To ensure accurate and high-quality results:

  • Upload high-quality video or audio files with clear speech.
  • Use a stable internet connection during file upload or link processing.
  • Avoid background noise and overlapping voices.
  • For video links, clean and accurate captions greatly improve the summary.
